Joanna’s successful sales and marketing background in multiple industries – acute healthcare products, financial services, luxury bottled water, and premium herbal products - brings a highly diverse and experienced perspective to Excelerant clients. Her 30-year career is punctuated with numerous accomplishments and she is known as a strategic business driver, an authentic leader, and a trusted advisor and thought partner who skillfully aligns high-performing, cross-functional teams to achieve success.
She is keenly adept at helping clients successfully fill critical gaps in healthcare markets, creating new functions and practices to maximize the opportunity, including comprehensive strategy development, overseeing successful product launches, and generating meaningful, measurable results quickly.
Most recently, Joanna served as Director, Channel Management & Business Development at PDC | A Brady Company, a leading provider of acute care-focused healthcare products including patient wristbands, labels and ID systems used across the hospital care continuum from admissions and diagnostics to medication dosing, surgery, and discharge.
She oversaw the company’s $125 million portfolio P&L and directed a cross-functional leadership team — including GPO strategy, MedSurg distribution, enterprise account management, and business development — to drive PDC's expansion into non-acute care markets, including surgery centers, independent pharmacies, and diagnostic labs. Her leadership efforts helped contribute to the company’s double-digit growth.
Joanna’s greatest skill is in building and launching new programs, departments, and go-to-market strategies from the ground up and then scaling them. Over the course of her career, she has built a first-ever marketing department, first non-acute go-to-market strategy, and launched e-commerce and channel programs that became lasting revenue generators.
Joanna earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Utah State University and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University.
