Mike Sheehan
Consultant

With three decades in the healthcare industry, Mike has developed a strong ability to analyze data to identify where small- to mid-sized organizations best fit in the overall healthcare marketplace. He believes there are times when large U.S. hospital systems are the proper fit for a particular new healthcare innovation and there are times when clients will enjoy greater ROI when collaborating with smaller systems.

A strong proponent of Pull-Through Activities, Mike is particularly adept in helping providers understand “why” to contract with a supplier, and ensuring that all parties have mutually agreed upon deliverables throughout the life of the agreement so both supplier and provider enjoy the maximum clinical and economic benefit.

Most recently, Mike spent 11 years at Medical Components, Inc. [Medcomp], which develops and markets vascular access devices, as Director of Sales and Corporate Accounts. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade at Lantheus [previously Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging] and has extensive experience in sales management, strategy/tactical development, and national account management. Over the years, Mike has also cultivated strong relationships within Group Purchasing Organizations, Integrated Delivery Networks and Regional Purchasing Coalitions.

He lives in Napa Valley and serves as President of the Atlas Peak Appellation Association, whose mission is to promote, market and create demand for the distinct qualities, characteristics, uniqueness, and purity of grapes grown and wines produced from Atlas Peak.
